Protect Swift Parrots forever

BirdLife Australia is working with Trill to highlight the plight of the Swift Parrot.

Although they are just a bit heavier than a standard tennis ball, twice a year these remarkable birds brave crossing one of the world’s most dangerous bodies of water – the Bass Strait.  Swifties migrate from the forests of Tasmania to the mainland in order to feed on the flowering gums along Australia’s east coast.

Sadly, Swift Parrots are one of the most endangered birds in Australia and they have seen their forests homes destroyed on both ends of their migratory paths.

Help us protect Swift Parrots forever.
